Subject Breast Intervention Boot Camp Program for Radiologists and Physicians

In Thailand, the use of mammography combined with ultrasound for breast cancer screening has increased significantly due to greater awareness, improved access, and more skilled radiologists. This has resulted in increased early-stage detection rates, which benefit patients because early-stage treatment is more effective than late treatment. However, a current challenge in breast cancer treatment is the shortage of specialists skilled in breast interventions such as biopsies, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations for surgical guidance, and marker placements for pre-surgical chemotherapy patients. The center is determined to enhance interested radiologists' and physicians' capabilities in breast cancer treatment in Thailand with the ultimate goal of protecting Thai women from breast cancer.
