Mammogram

  • Preparation for a
    Mammogram
    1. Wear separate pieces of clothing (shirt and pants or shirt and skirt), avoid wearing dress
    2. Do not apply deodorant and powder to your underarms and breasts as this may affect the mammogram.
    3. Maintain your normal dietary routine unless instructed to fast by the doctor.
    4. The best time to perform a breast examination is the week after your period ends. During this time, your breasts are less swollen and tender, making it easier to detect any abnormality.
    5. For transferred patient, please bring your scan result, CD, and/or reports from previous examinations to accumulate with the recent examination.
    6. Notify the physician if you are suspected to be pregnant or being pregnant.
    7. Individual locker is unavailable. Please bring a bag for your belongings into the examination room.

    1. Thai National ID card
    2. Siriraj HN Card / Thanyarak Medical Card (if applicable)


    3. Remark: Thanyarak Breast Center recommends that women have a baseline mammogram at the age of 35, followed by annual screenings starting at the age of 40.
